On Tuesday, September 12, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya revealed that two deaths in the Kozhikode district of Kerala were attributed to the Nipah virus.

The first death from Nipah virus in Kerala occurred on August 30, while the second one occurred on September 11.
